On September 1, 2021, Texas Senate Bill 8 became law, effectively outlawing abortion in the state after the United States Supreme Court refused to act against the legislation.

Here we will compile as many resources as possible for those people affected. This page will be updated as new resources are located.

Texas Support Funds

Contact the following agencies for assistance if you are in need in Texas.

The Texas Equal Access Fund

“Do you need help paying for your abortion? You can text us at 1-844-TEA-FUND (1-844-832-3863) to reach volunteers who can answer questions about where to get an abortion, how to get help paying for care, and get connected to emotional support networks. You may also call our Helpline Mondays and Thursdays from 7 am – 10 am. Our Helpline number is 1-888-854-4852.”

“Aid Access … consists of [a] committed team of doctors, activists and advocates for abortion rights. The purpose of the website and the service is to create social justice and improve the health status and human rights of women who do not have the possibility of accessing local abortion services.”

The Bridge Collective

Whole Woman’s Health Alliance

West Fund

“West Fund is a non-profit organization formed to serve individuals in the West Texas area. We work to make abortions accessible to individuals who need them, and fight back against bad legislation and anti-choice rhetoric.”

The Lilith Fund

“We provide financial assistance and emotional support while building community spaces for people who need abortions in Texas—unapologetically, with compassion and conviction. Through organizing and movement-building, we foster a positive culture around abortion, strengthen people power, and fight for reproductive justice in and with our communities.”

Clinic Access Support Network

“We provide safe, free assistance to anyone seeking an abortion in Houston. Do you need a ride to your abortion? Do you need someone to talk to?
Give us a call or text at 281-947-2276. Our hotline operates Monday through Friday , 8am-7pm CST, for new callers.”

Fund Texas Choice

“Fund Texas Choice (formerly Fund Texas Women) is a non-profit organization that pays for Texans’ travel to abortion clinics.”

Frontera Fund

“Frontera Fund Is United Under One Fundamental Mission: To provide financial support and a sense of community for those seeking abortions in the Rio Grande Valley. We also assist local Rio Grande Valley residents who need to travel to clinics across Texas and beyond for the reproductive care they require.”

Jane’s Due Process

“Jane’s Due Process helps young people in Texas navigate parental consent laws and confidentially access abortion and birth control. We provide free legal support, 1-on-1 case management, and stigma-free information on sexual and reproductive health.”

Support Your Sistah

“Support Your Sistah is a Practical Support Fund that assists abortion clients with transportation, drop in childcare and occassionally financial assistance to help cover procedure cost. We also offer abortion and birthing doulas support”
