Melanie Binversie

A Virginia native with over a decade of experience in public service as an Emergency Medical Technician, Firefighter, and jail medic; as well as, a doula and a proud surrogate make Melanie a well-rounded individual with a lot of advice to give. Melanie worked hard to earn a 4.0 GPA at American Military University where she graduated in May 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts in Emergency and Disaster Management with a minor in Intelligence Studies. Melanie knew she was destined to become a doula the moment she delivered a sweet baby girl into the arms of her loving parents. She believes there is no greater moment in the world than that of the birth of a new family. Melanie is a dedicated volunteer and was the Social Media Coordinator with the PTA at her children’s school, AMU’s Ambassador Program, and has donated over 23,500 ounces of milk to the Preemie Milk Bank and thousands to moms in need. She is currently completing the FINRA Military Spouse Fellowship where she will become an Accredited Financial Counselor® where she will give back to the community by teaching personal finance related classes. She enjoys geocatching and hiking with her family, running with her husband in local races, and traveling and exploring new camping sites. Melanie resides in Denver, Colorado with her sweet husband Kurt and their three amazing children.
